THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS:
Students from across Chinook School Divison had a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in releasing Black-footed Ferrets in Grasslands National Park. Students worked alongside professionals from Parks Canada, Toronto Zoo, Calgary Zoo and US Fish and Wildlife. This was the third and final release of the Black-footed Ferret in Grasslands National Park.
Check out the links below for highlights:
Chinook School Division students also participated in the first release of Black-footed Ferrets in Grasslands National Park. The Nature of Things - Return of the Prairie Bandit documentary with David Suzuki highlights the recovery of this species in Canada.

Grasslands National Park may be one of the quietest places in Canada - from human-made noise that is. Everyday, our lives are bombarded with sounds of traffic, ceiling lights, computers and more. Sometimes it is nice to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.
To download the sound clips in MP3 format below, right-click on them and select "Save As" to save them to your computer. You can then play them with any compatible software capable of playing MP3-format audio files.
